It’s no surprise, at least it shouldn’t be anymore, that the phones we carry around with us every where are tracked by something or, in this case, someone. Alex Pentland has been studying the movement of creatures for as long as he can remember. In his early days he studied the movements of animals but now he focuses his research on people. He believes the research he conducts will be able to show how people move around based on a number of variables (i.e., natural disasters, public events, etc) and how that information can be used in the design and creation of certain areas.
