It should come as no surprise that if you do anything on facebook, whether you click on a picture or watch a video several times, facebook records every little action you do on the site, and why you might ask? Because they want to make sure their ads are targeted to you correctly. It’s all about making a buck on that site. But with the recent uprise in anonymous apps, more and more users want the option to be able to do things without people knowing like it used to be before facebook. In an effort to appeal to users of facebook, they have given users the option now to login in to certain apps anonymously which facebook says will not announce to your friends what app you signed into or using, but facebook will still record what app you are using and what you are doing with it.
There is no privacy when it comes to facebook. Even if you marked everything private on your profile, a lot is still open for the public to search. Facebook is just stroking the egos of facebook users to make them believe that what they are doing on the site is private and theirs alone. Even the FTC is has warned facebook about it’s privacy practices many times because of the number of court cases against, still pending in court right now, because of repeat violations of privacy rights.
